Delete your Derbani account and data
This page explains how to delete your Derbani account (app by Derbani) and the data linked to it.
Option 1 — in the app (immediate)
- Open Derbani.
- Tap Settings (the gear icon, top corner).
- Tap Delete my account and data, then Delete.
Your account and data are deleted from our servers straight away. You can keep using the app afterwards; it simply starts with a new, empty anonymous account.
Option 2 — without the app
Derbani accounts are anonymous (no email or phone number), so we cannot look you up by name. Email privacy@derbani.com with the subject "Delete my account" and your account ID (Settings → under "Signed in", tap the copy icon next to "Account ID"). We delete it within 7 days and reply to confirm.
If you no longer have the app or the account ID, you do not need to do anything: your photos are deleted automatically within 7 days, your records within 90 days, and unused accounts after 12 months.
What is deleted
- Your uploaded photos and enhanced results stored on our servers
- Your job history and your result ratings
- Your anonymous sign-in account (Google Firebase)
What is kept, and for how long
- Database backups may still contain your job records (never photos) for up to 14 days, until they are overwritten.
- A one-way code derived from your account ID (not the ID itself) is kept for 2 hours, only to block requests from your old, still-valid sign-in token.
- Photos you saved to your phone's gallery stay on your phone — delete them there if you wish.
